Online scams

Any time you are asked for your credit card info online, you are at extreme risk. Having access to your CC info provides the greatest opportunity for online scammers to take advantage of you.

Online shopping is easy, fun and convenient...until it isn't. That's when you order items that never arrive or charges are added after checkout that you would not have agreed on if you could have seen the final bill.

I am fairly addicted to online shopping as many others are, but the frustration when it doesn't work out. Facebook may be the most egregious offender, It seems they wi. accept advertisements from ANYBODY and there are so many scams. I am still waiting for several items I have ordered on FB.

Why have I been taken in so many times, you ask? The old adage, if it looks too good to be true, it yada yada.

Paypal is relatively good about policing scams that have been charges on their site. I have received some refunds from PP after being stiffed by fraudulent sites. I have also been denied reimbursement a couple of time, I guess when they felt I was at fault.
